10 Things I've Been Loving Lately
Confession: the blog has taken a bit of a back seat while I’ve been navigating my way through pregnancy and a demanding job. And because I work on social media content all day, every day … I don’t always have the energy to think when I get home! However, there are a few things I’ve been particularly loving the past few months that I wanted to share. This list of “10 Things I’m Loving Lately” includes music, clothing, gadgets, and book recommendations.
10 Things I’ve Been Loving Lately
Daisy Jones & The Six. The book, the show, the actual ALBUM the show produced. Their song “Look at Us Now (Honeycomb)” is something I’ve been playing on repeat along with “Let Me Down Easy”. I’ve also been trying to learn “Two Against Three” on the guitar! If you like rock & roll with major harmonies, you’ll love the album. Find it on Spotify!
Amazon Biker Short. As soon as my clothes started feeling tighter at the end of my first trimester, I ordered a pair of these babies. And I’m obsessed. They’re SUCH a good price point (under $22!) and they are sleek and soft. Almost like the Lulu performance legging material? I own a pair of the Amazon Baleaf biker shorts and hate them (thick almost scratchy material and they produce camel toe like no OTHER). THESE I would like to own in multiple colors.
THIS Instagram account. I started following her when I was looking for some healthier meal options and fell in love with her content filming style. She doesn’t drink, so she shares creative mocktail options all the time!
Our automatic balloon pump. I purchased this for our gender reveal décor, and George was excited to add it to our craft closet! “WOW! This thing will come in SUPER handy for all of the birthday parties we will be throwing!” So, it has the George stamp of approval. And it saves you SO MUCH time when creating balloon formations (like this DIY Boujee Balloon Arch).
The Ellie Nap Dress. I’ve had my eye on these Hill House babies for a WHILE and was gifted one for Christmas. Yes, it’s actually as amazing as the review say. The price point is higher, but by-golly I’m going to be wearing this thing non-stop during pregnancy and beyond. No hassle fashion that is a flattering silhouette on everyone.
Blue Apron and Hello Fresh. These services are nothing new, but I had to give a shoutout. I’ve been incredibly unmotivated to grocery shop lately (thank you, pregnancy) and George is in baseball busy season, which means our fridge often sits empty. Ordering meal kits to eat throughout the week has been a LIFESAVER. We don’t have to think about meal planning, prepping a grocery list, actually GOING to the grocery store and then cooking. It feels like a luxury. And, honestly, I think gifting meal kits for new parents is a GENIUS idea
The Maid. My best friend lent me this book to read, and I devoured it. A classic who-dun-it tale with a surprising twist on the end and a main character who you fall in love with. All the makings of a great story.
My Julie Vos Savoy Gold Hoop Earrings. I wear them with almost EVERY outfit and they look fab!
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. Note: I’m not good at makeup. But I AM good at rubbing my makeup off during the day. This blush is AMAZING and sticks with me through the work day. A little goes a LONG way, so be aware before you end up looking like a creepy toy doll.
Essie Vanity Fairest Nail Polish. Catch me wearing this light pink color through the rest of summer.
Until next time!
Hope
