AirBnb Online Experiences to Try ASAP

Society as a whole has undergone a MASSIVE pivot when it comes to the digital world. Businesses that could operate remotely have been doing so for just over a month. But what about experiences? What about those classes and trips and excursions that keep life interesting?

Not to worry. Airbnb has come up with a hefty list of online experiences for their users to spice up their quarantine home life. After sifting through pages of options, I’ve compiled a list of online experiences I’d like to try ASAP.

  1. GINspiration History & Cocktails at Home. Learn about the history and chemistry of gin in what they call a “tipsy tour”! The list of ingredients needed are basically household items (gin, prosecco, citrus, etc.) and you can sign up for the experience with a group or meet other people from around the world! I love any excuse to use my shaker.

  2. Coffee Masterclass with an National Judge. I’ve always wanted to learn the coveted skills of a barista. This class (with over 500 positive reviews) makes it possible! The host is a Mexico City native and walks you through his true coffee craft + experience for an hour’s worth of coffee heaven.

  3. Wine Class with a Cool Wine Expert. This low-key wine experience will transport you to Portugal’s wine country (Porto)! The title of the class makes me chuckle, so I’m assuming the host is a fairly entertaining fellow. Plus, the Portugese countryside is STUNNING (photo evidence can be found in my Portugal Travel Guide).

  4. Goal Setting with an Olympian. I actually met Bree Larson as a sophomore in college at Texas A&M! She’s incredibly sweet, (obviously) talented and now breaking into the coaching scene! I think it would be neat to spend an afternoon with an Olympic gold medalist. Wouldn’t you?!

  5. Personalized Interior Design Workshop. George and I are starting to think about our first home together and combining household items - it’s exciting! And it’s also daunting to think about designing our home in a way that is stylish and comfortable (without breaking the bank). This interior designer helps you define your personal style and will recommend budget tips for creating your perfect interior space.

  6. Drink and Draw. I’ve never been much of a doodler, so I’d love to fine-tune my drawing skills (or at least be able to draw something other than a sun)! The class motto is “if you have a pencil, you can draw!” which makes the class seem very approachable. Wine is recommended (perfect).

I hope you guys find some inspiration in exploring virtual classes + experiences! It amazes me to see how many creative and talented minds fill the Earth. Maybe you could host a virtual class, too!
