Most Instagrammable Spots in New Orleans
New Orleans is a beautiful city with oh so many photo op spots. The architecture is a fushion of old southern and caribbean with lots of color thrown in. George and I stayed in Uptown when we visited The Big Easy and the area is full of gorgeous (huge) homes with beautifully manicured lawns and gardens.
As we explored the city, we stumbled upon a number of colorful and fun spots! This is a list of what I think are some of the most instagrammable spots in New Orleans.

Jackson Square. This city park sits between the Mississippi River and the cathedral. With it’s classic architecture, the cathedral makes a lovely photo backdrop.
The Carousel Bar. Located in the Hotel Monteleone, this spot is so fun and unique! It’s definitely touristy, but where else will you have a chance to sit at a carousel and drink a cocktail at the same time?
On a rooftop. We grabbed a cocktail at Tableau during our food tour, which is off of Jackson Square. It was a great spot to watch the hustle and bustle from above! The Pelican Club is also a good spot in the French Quarter. And Hot Tin has great views of the city and was recommended to me a number of times by friends.
The French Quarter. We snapped one of our favorite photos in the alley of the Pelican Club … I think technically it’s called Exchange Place. But the architecture throughout the French Quarter is beautiful!
Commander’s Palace. A classic New Orleans establishment. The blue and white stripes make for such fun pops of color! If you’re wanting to go in for a meal, be sure to follow the dress code.
Saint Charles Street Car. Did you know this street car was a historical landmark? The line goes from downtown to uptown (close to Tulane and Loyola). I’d highly recommend riding this line for the experience. You cruise past a number of beautiful homes the closer you get to uptown!
The Chloe. This boutique hotel as a whole is just an aesthetic. We popped in for a cocktail before dinner on evening and snagged a spot on their gorgeous patio. Even the cocktails are picture worthy.
BONUS: Bourbon Street. Ok. So…it’s not the most photogenic place in the city, but it’s iconic.
And have a blast exploring such a vibrant city!
