10 Things I'm Loving Right Now
Sometimes the rise and grind of the work week can take its toll. Wake up, work hard, (try and) workout, rinse, repeat. I, personally, have felt like this week has been a doozy (budgets, work, commitments, weekend logistics, etc. etc.). HOWEVER, I wanted to share a little bit of my JOY in hopes of spreading the love. So, I wanted to share some favorites with my community this week! And, whatever you’re dealing with this week, YOU. CAN. DO. IT. SI SE PUEDE (one of my favorite Spanish phrases)!
Where the Crawdads Sing. THIS BOOK. I read this book in a week - stayed up until midnight on a FRIDAY NIGHT to finish the last couple of chapters. 100% WORTH IT. This book had been sitting in my Amazon cart for months until I heard it was a “MUST READ” from a friend. So, of course, I ordered it the next day! It’s a murder mystery that has a TWIST at the end (I didn’t see it coming).
Fredericksburg Farms Hand Soap. I have their Rosemary Mint soap in my bathroom and washing my hands is my new favorite thing. (I’ve always washed my hands - don’t get weird), but now it’s SUPER FUN because this soap smells AMAZING. Many of the local Fredericksburg wineries carry Fred Farms products, which makes my heart SO HAPPY. #shoplocal
Neospresso Carmelizio Coffee Pods. The phrase, “you never appreciate what you have until it’s gone” rings true for me right now with these coffee pods. I’m running low on my stash and quickly realizing that my favorite kitchen tool is my Neospresso machine + these caramel flavored coffees. Can I do without?!? (Probs nah).
THIS QUOTE: “Our human finite minds do not understand the Father’s ways so we try to limit His greatness, but His glory cannot be confined nor contained.” -K Norris. Woah. Just sit and ponder that nugget for a moment.
THIS SONG: She Gave Me the Keys by The Dip. This song is on my road trip playlist and also makes me want to sit in an old-school diner and sip on a chocolate milkshake. Fantastic band with some neat brass elements.
THESE SHOES. I’m wearing them on repeat this spring. And will probably repeat all summer long, too. They’re incredibly comfy and hit the perfect amount of “cute-casual”.
THIS PODCAST. I can’t start my morning without it! These 15-minute long episodes keep me INFORMED. And then I can feel like I can carry on an intelligent conversation at a dinner party.
MY FAVORITE BLANKET. Everyone has their favorite blanket. Usually my family fights over our favorite throw when we all settle in for a late night movie. You can’t beat a good blanket! And this one is the perfect amount of warm, cozy and soft.
PERFECT PEP TALK. This video is an oldie but a goodie. Every now and then, I’ll need some inspiration. A smile. A laugh. And I watch this video. “What if there were two paths? I want to be on the one that leads to awesome.”
CHOCOLATE CHIP PEANUT BUTTER SWIRL BARS. Every now and then (i.e. every other day) I get a sweet craving, and I usually find myself looking up different baked good recipes. This recipe comes from a modern day culinary genius. I own her cookbook, and I’ve made a NUMBER of her recipes (everything is damn delicious). 10/10 recommend everything.
And these are my top 10! My hope is to spread a little bit of joy to your world by sharing a little bit of mine. SI SE PUEDE!!
