Resolving to Live like a Local

Happy New Year, all! I recently listened to a podcast on how to establish New Years Resolutions (pros, cons, why try, etc). One of the podcast hosts shared that 2018 would be her year of "FUN" and had planned out monthly "fun" activities to enjoy. (I 100% support fun-solutions).

So, I've compiled a list of monthly "resolutions" to accomplish (experience/taste/see) in the Texas Hill Country. These can be YOUR "fun-solutions"!

January - Luckenbach Blues Festival (this concept is so Texas - I love it)

February - St. Mary's Mardi Gras Gala & all of the winery Valentine's dinners (galas, wine, chocolates, oh my)!

March - State Park Explorations (Enchanted Rock, Lost Maples, Pedernales Falls) and Easter Fires Pageant at the Fairgrounds

April - Wildseed Farms and the Bluebonnet Trail (oh, the beautiful countryside)

May - Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival and Becker Vineyard's Lavender Festival (enjoy the outside activities before the Texas heat settles in)

June - Find the perfect bushel of peaches (to make peach cobbler, pie, bread, etc) and have a glass of peach cider from Burg's Corner

July - Fredericksburg 4th of July Parade, National Museum of the Pacific War Exhibits

August - Grape stomp(s) and the Gillespie County Fair

September - USO-Style Labor Day Hangar Dance at the Hangar Hotel (Charleston Boogie)

October - Oktoberfest and Wurstfest (can't miss these)

November - Gillespie County Wild Game Dinner and Fredericksburg Trade Days

December - Christmas Parade and Afterglow Event, Pearl Harbor Day Observance at the National Museum of Pacific War, Annual Port and Stilton Cheese Tasting Event at Becker Vineyards (SO MUCH ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES)

And cheers to 2018!
