30A Beach Bachelorette Weekend

IMG_3026.jpeg

My 30A beach bachlorette weekend was an absolute DREAM. The weather was perfect (late September), the itinerary was meticulously crafted and my gals were THE BEST (I’ll get teary-eyed thinking about it). My maid of honor, Carla, and I chose our destination because we wanted a good balance between planning fun activities and doing nothing all while being in a beautiful place. 30A has a lot to offer … you can rent bikes, take a yoga classes, shop, sip cocktails + smoothies, or just sit on the beach. And the beach is my happy place. The extra boost of Vitamin-D does us all a world of good!

Carla wanted portions of the weekend to be a fun surprise, which I LOVED! I had to keep guessing what my MOH mastermind had up her sleeve. I’ll detail our itinerary below.

30A Beach Bachelorette Weekend

Thursday Afternoon / Evening

All the girls slowly arrived in 30A! Half of us drove down from Auburn + Atlanta and the other half flew into ECP (Panama City). The ECP airport was only 30 minutes from our AirBnb (mostly because of all the stoplights and humans crossing the streets). We snapped up a gorgeous little spot just across the street from the beach in-between Alys Beach and Watersound with private boardwalk access and it was MARVELOUS! Being a 3-minute walk from the beach is a game changer.

The theme of the weekend? Hope’s Final Fiesta! And fiesta indeed.

Carla whipped up some tacos and we made margaritas at the house while waiting for everyone to arrive.

Friday Morning / Afternoon

BIKE RIDE + YOGA SCULPT CLASS.

We wanted Friday morning to be slow, so we sipped coffee on the covered back patio and munched on bagels before our private workout class at Otium! My bridesmaid, Reese, booked us a private (heated) yoga sculpt class to start the day. All the gals hopped on a bike and rode to the studio, which was just beyond the main Rosemary Beach area. Our instructor was AWESOME and we all sweated out our margaritas from the night before. Definitely a cleanse, but we felt SO GOOD afterwards.

BEACH

We spent the rest of the afternoon eating a well-deserved snack on the beach and enjoying the sunshine.

Friday Evening

COCKTAILS @ PESCADO.

We all changed into our evening attire and biked (in the DARK - the area before Alys is not well-lit) to Rosemary Beach. It was a bonding experience FOR SURE (I mean … thankfully none of us bonded with the cement). We stopped into Pescado (garden-inspired decor) for a cocktail before dinner. Trying to get reservations during COVID had proven difficult, but the staff was kind enough to let us in!

DINNER @ EDWARD’S FINE FOOD AND WINE.

The gals and I were able to snag a late dinner spot at Edward’s for some fantastic seafood. I had some of the best tuna filet of my life here! And I’m not a huge seafood person, but I’d highly recommend. They also ended up bringing out double the dessert for our table :)

Saturday Morning / Afternoon

BREAKFAST BAKE + MIMOSAS. My future sister-in-laws were kind enough to volunteer to bake a delicious mexican breakfast lasagna for Saturday morning! We sipped mimosas and filled our bellies before heading to the beach for the rest of the day.

PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHER SESSION. Carla is a GEM and knew I would absolutely loveeeee a photo session with everyone on the beach, so she contacted Amanda with Amanda Cooney Photography to capture some group photos! We had a BLAST coming up with fun poses and splashing around in the water. And now we have so many gorgeous memories to look back on and enjoy.

After snapping an hour’s worth of photos, we lounged on the beach until sunset.

Saturday Evening

PRIVATE CHEF DINNER. As the final HOORAH of a bachelorette weekend, the girls had planned for a private chef from Blue Mountain Bakery to meet us at the AirBnb and prepare dinner! Y’all. This is the WAY TO GO. Our chef was SUPER fun, the food was insanely delicious (ceviche stuffed avocados, summer salad with mango and jicama, and a beautifully prepared mahi mahi) and we didn’t have to fight the crowds for dinner reservations.

LINGERIE SHOWER + GAME NIGHT. And, of course, no bachelorette would be complete without a fun lingerie party and homemade cocktails!

Sunday Morning

COFFEE SHOPPE + QUICK BITES. After gathering all of our goodies for the weekend, we said goodbye to our AirBnb! A few of us stopped in downtown Seaside for lunch (picked up this cutie from a local shop) and then grabbed a “to go” cappuccino from Black Bear Bread Co.

A dream! I’m so thankful for such a sweet time with each one of my girls and a fabulously memorable weekend. The main focus of the weekend was really spending quality time with each other before the wedding and we did JUST THAT! I loved watching friends from different walks of life come together and mesh so easily. Plus, the bachelorette weekend helped make the wedding feel a little bit more real.
