Signor Vineyards :: Fredericksburg, Texas

I heard of Signor Winery via word of mouth. The words being, “YOU MUST GO. I spent most of my time gawking at how beautiful the property was!” Ok. Sign me up!

Signor is new to the 290 wine scene (having opened in March of 2018). They sell mostly Oregon-grown wines, but they’re also working on a new crop of Texas grapes to harvest!

If you’re driving by on 290, Signor doesn’t seem to be as visually impressive as some of it’s neighbors. However, once you drive past the main house, you’ll see that their property opens up into this incredible “modern french summer home” slash new-age Santa Fe style patio, garden and tasting room. I was taking mental decor notes for my future backyard.

Signor is a winery where you can sit and stay for a while. Their patio is shaded by tall trees and the seating is speckled throughout the front area of the tasting room, making it an ideal location to open a bottle of wine to share with friends and family.

I enjoyed all of their wines, but the Roussanne was my favorite. It’s their only Texas wine on the tasting menu (as of our visit), and the Roussanne grape is rare to find on the 290 Wine Trail. We had to try it. What a treat!

So, of course, we purchased a bottle to sip on while sitting out on the patio. If you’re looking for a quaint, fun patio scene on the Wine Trail - look no further. Add Signor to your list!
