Our Dreamy Babymoon in Rosemary Beach, Florida

George and I had the dreamiest babymoon in Rosemary Beach, Florida. The beautiful 30a is already a happy place for us both, so it made sense for us to book a trip down to the Emerald Coast as our last “hoorah” before baby girl’s arrival. We’ve been making the trip down to 30a every year since moving to Auburn as our post-baseball season getaway. So, we’ve had the pleasure of being able to explore the area!

When booking the trip, I wanted to stay close to Rosemary and not too far away from the beach. Imagine waddling with ALL of your beach gear seven months pregnant in the summer heat. Ew. Thankfully, George and I discovered The Rosemary Beach Inn, which is literally steps from a private beach access AND included beach chairs. We were SOLD.

We had some great quality time together, spent a lot of our time relaxing (and talking about the arrival of baby girl!), and I was even able to find a number of mocktail options to sip on in the sun.

Where We Stayed

Rosemary Beach Inn. I’d stay here every single trip to 30a, if I could. The proximity to the beach & restaurants PLUS the beach chair setup and breakfast inclusions were fantastic. We really felt like we were on VACATION.

to do

Shop // We popped around Seaside and snagged a cutie SEASIDE shirt at Bump + Baby for our baby girl. Everything in there is so tiny and cute! Rosemary Beach has a number of cute shops to explore, as well. We ended up grabbing a children’s book from The Hidden Lantern bookstore called “Taco Tuesday”.

Explore // Rosemary Beach has a number of walking paths for guests to enjoy! Our walk turned into more of a stroll, we were so busy looking at all of the houses (also, I don’t move as fast as I used to).

Beach // The reason you booked the trip, right? Check out my beach essentials for under $30 if you’re ready to pack your beach bag!

Spa // The Pearl Hotel offers a “Mother’s Massage” for expecting mamas, but I forgot to book far enough in advance. Sigh. Don’t wait until the last minute!

where we ate & drank

The Daytrader // Tiki bar with creative cocktails & seafood dishes located in Seaside.

Summer Kitchen Cafe // Breakfast & to-go frozen dranks (they had a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri option, which was delicious). This spot was connected to the Rosemary Beach Inn!

Crabby Steve's // Beach lunch & beach dranks (wish they had a delivery service straight to your beach chair). I loved my virgin mango daiquiri AND you can take drinks to go!

Cowgirl Kitchen // Casual lunch & dinner (they are well-known for their pizza!).

CK Feed & Supply // Charcuterie & snack options (you can restock your beach coolers here!).

Pescado // Rooftop cocktails, elevated dinner spot, evening piano bar (my favorite view in Rosemary Beach).

Old Florida Fish House // Dinner in a secret garden (order the s'mores brownie dessert).

Charlie's Cafe // Donuts, sweet treats, ice-cream (when the line at Kilwin's is LITERALLY around the corner).
