10 Things I've Been Loving Lately

We are officially two months out from meeting our baby girl and every time I think too hard about that number, I shock myself. I’m shocked in a “I CAN’T WAIT TO MEET HER!” and a “ARE WE READY TO BE A PARENTS?” kind of way. One thing I’ve been loving lately (above the rest) has been feeling baby girl move around and getting her nursery ready with George. Sitting in our glider, looking at the crib and imagining life after baby girl’s arrival has me in all sorts of feels.

A few things have been helping make life easier in my third trimester, so I wanted to share my favorites!

10 Things I’ve Been Loving Lately

  1. BLANQI Active Wear. My sister-in-law recommended this brand to me early on in my pregnancy and I’m SO GLAD I snagged a pair of leggings & biker shorts while they were on sale. I preemptively purchased a few maternity pieces (thankfully) because I feel like I woke up one day and everything was just a touch too tight. Always good to be prepared! These leggings and biker shorts perform well in my Orangetheory classes and offer good support for my belly and lower back.

  2. The Pink Drink by Half Baked Harvest. I’ve been craving a lot of fruit in my third trimester and this strawberry pink drink hits the spot! It’s also nice to drink something other than water every now and then.

  3. How to Walk Away by Katherine Center. Katherine Center has a similar writing style to Emily Henry, so her books are easy to read and leave you with the warm fuzzies.

  4. Guava Lotus Travel Crib. My grandmother gifted this travel pack n play to us and it is SUPER nifty! It is lightweight, folds up compactly and has backpack straps for easy transport. We actually already put it to use when we had friends over to dinner a while ago with their baby boy! I’m excited to get some use out of this baby play yard when our little girl arrives.

  5. Pink Blush Maternity Clothing. I recently snagged this peach maxi dress from Pink Blush and love how breezy it feels! The summer heat in Alabama cam be brutal, so finding clothing that doesn’t feel restrictive or tight is VIP for me. This brand has lots of different clothing options for expecting mothers and often runs a good sale!

  6. Honest Company Mama Body Oil. My sweet sister-in-law gifted this body oil to me after we announced we were pregnant to the family. I’ve started using it more now that I’ve started my third trimester and the belly is growing rapidly. It has been great for my dry skin, and I’m crossing my fingers it helps with stretch marks!

  7. The saying: “no hay mal que por bien no venga “. In other words; “nothing bad happens that some good doesn’t come from it.” My late grandmother passed along this phrase to her children and my father shares these wise words of advice. Life is crazy and can get you down fast, if you let it. Or, we can try and search for that silver lining. I’m trying to be more disciplined about counting my blessings every day.\

  8. Tru Fru Frozen Dark Chocolate-Covered Raspberries. I have to stop myself from eating an entire bag of these sweet treats. The tart raspberry paired with the rich chocolate flavor is delightful AND a fantastic summer afternoon treat.

  9. Jimmy Buffet Radio. Ask Alexa or Spotify to lace the air with those sweet summer tunes. There are some BOPS on that playlist!

  10. George. He’s been working so extra hard on nursery projects, keeping our yard looking pristine in the blazing summer heat, and keeping a smile on his face. Summer is always a sweet time for us, because weekends are free of sports. Any extra time we can spend together before baby girl’s arrival is precious!
