March Favorites :: Things I'm Loving Right Now
Two weeks ago, I was planning to pick my best friend up at the airport for a weekend’s worth of baseball and sunshine. It’s crazy to think how much has changed in the world in a matter of days / weeks. I feel like we’ve all gone from packing every minute of every day to a clear schedule and feeling like we’re living in a bubble. But BY GOLLY if we’re living in a bubble, let’s try our best to make the most of it!
This is my list of little things. With everything going on in the world, I think it’s important to highlight the simple things where we find joy. Little things that keep a smile on my face and bring joy to my everyday.
Bombas Socks. I don’t know how I ever lived without these things. Even George, my ultimate bargain hunter fiance, now swears they’re worth EVERY PENNY. They have extra support for the arch of your foot (which is great for my high arches) and an extra lip for the ankle (so your socks don’t slide down mid-workout). Nothing less than Bombas quality for our feet.
Nespresso Verturo. Coffee is a vital part of my everyday routine. And, working from home, my personal coffee maker is the “office” coffee maker and therefore needs to be up to standard. Hearing the whir of the coffee machine in the morning just makes me smile. Some of my favorite coffee flavors include Carmelizo and Hazelino.
Half Baked Harvest’s Golden Rice + Spiced Chick Pea vegetarian pantry dinner recipe. Pantry dinners have become more of a THING with social distancing. And I only needed two ingredients from the store to complete this meal.
BOARD GAMES. I always imagined being the kind of family who has a designated game night each week … now I can make that dream a reality! Right now … we’re really loving New Phone Who Dis, Bananagrams and Ticket to Ride.
The “Horse with No Name” creatively funny Twitter video (it went viral). Hilarious.
The Beautifully Soft lounge wear set from Target. These joggers are INSANELY soft (and v popular judging by their backorder date). I ordered the joggers + sweatshirt in heather gray. SO. SOFT. Ready to kill the #WFH game in these things.
Tom Hank’s letter to the Nerdist Podcast crew featured in Letters of Note (one of my favorite books)! It’s an older letter, but one of my all time favorites. His sense of humor is a bright light.
What are some simple things you’ve been loving? I hope you find joy in some of these sweet things, as well!
