Baby Nunnelley Nursery Reveal

The much anticipated (mostly by me) nursery reveal for our baby girl is finally here! I can’t believe I’m typing those words. I feel like it has taken nine months to wrap my brain around having a child, and I still don’t think I’ll fully be able to comprehend that I’m a MOTHER until she’s in my arms.

I started planning the nursery back in February, when we found out we were having a baby girl. My original vision for the nursery morphed over the nine months that it took us to put everything together. I had originally wanted a lot of calm neutrals with pops of pink and the final product took a bit of a 180. George and I pivoted to incorporating bright pops of color and sentimental items revolving around our travels for our tiny adventurer. We want her to be bold, bright and cheerful! And I think we lucked into the nursery reflecting those sentiments.

There are city prints of Rome and Mexico City from my travels abroad, framed pillow cases from our insanely memorable trip to San Miguel de Allende (George and I’s first international trip together!), vintage knitted booties hand-crafted by a family member and, of course, a map of Auburn-Opelika to represent home.

Needless to say, the nursery has quickly become my favorite room in the house. The natural lighting from the morning sunshine lights everything up perfectly, so that it seems to glow. I hope our girl loves it as much as I do!
